Uninstalling 2009 & 2010

deweytc

Question

I purchased the 2011. I uninstalled 2009 that I left on and then uninstalled 2010. I have now lost my CD Rom Drives. Anyone else have had this problem? I am running XP, service pack 3. I have gone under Device manager and still not able to install drivers for my drives. I restored windows to the just before uninstalling Roxio and still do not have my CD rom drives back. I have tried re-installing 2010 and it will not install. In the device manager, it shows diffently a problem with all my CD Rom drives. Under "Add New Hardware", it simply takes me to trouble shooting and I have done everything that is suggested with no change. Please help.

Thanks, gi7omy I have corrected the lost CD Rom Drives by going to to regedit, and I was able to install the new version 2011. Now I have the problem with the version 2009 "BurnMgr.MSI" trying to install. It certainly appears that 2009 & 2010 did not have a clean uninstall. I wished that all software would completely uninstall everything that it installed in the first place. But I guess that would be hoping for too much. Now I need to figure how to get rid of this new thing "cannot find disk to install "BurnMgr.MSI"".

Thanks, deweytc
