Videoconvert Has Stopped Working - Roxio Cretor 2009

Bootsalefan

Question

I get the message "Roxio VideoConvert has stopped working" when I try to open some

video files. (Some VOB files open but others do not. None of these files are encrypted or copy-protected)

I have followed the knowledgebase steps of uninstalling and re-installing the product as well as updating to 2009 Service Pack SP4. There is no Registry management software installed on my PC.

I am running Vista home premium on a 2.8GHz Dual Core PC and all service packs are up-to-date.

Video graphics card is Asus EAH4670 series (ATI chip) with all drivers up-to-date.

Help, please..

Do these video files play on your computer? Have you tried loading them into "Edit Video Advanced"? Do they open there? If so, then just output them to the format you want. The output icon is above the preview screen.

If they don't work, download and install gspot , drag one of the files to it to see if you can get the information about the file there.

Post a screen shot of the gspot page.
