Audio Distortion

A.K.L.

Question

Bought Roxio Creator 10 during the summer. Have found a lot of it difficult to understand without actual manual at my side! However have now successfully prepared photo/audio disc and burnt successfully. I played everything back through preview before burning and it was fine. However, when trying to play back disc through T.V. the sound is distorted and juddery. Pictures etc are fine. I have tried it on two T.V.sets but both are the same. I have also played the disc back through my P.C. and the sound is fine! I have prepared two other small discs as testers. I have taken music from the roxio programme and also from my own library........but the end result when played back on the T.V. is the same. Sound badly distorted. Any help would be appreciated...but don't get too technical with the language!

The first thing I would suspect is that you are using Memorex or store brand DVD's. Their performance is spotty since they buy them from the lowest bidder. You computer might just be able to play them without a problem. If your DVD players are high quality, they may have problems with the discs. Find a friend who has a cheap DVD player and try it on that player. Verbatim and JVC (Taiyo Yuden) have been the best.
