I have the wires from my tun table amplifier speaker(s) connection going into the Roxio white box. When I switch the wires ( left to right and right to left) at the box, I still only get a left track showing up on the software in step 2. I just thought I should see a signal on the left and right grids. I have tried several stereo records with the same results.

Thank you,

I am not familiar with a " Roxio white box", could you describe this a little better.

Try connecting from the Line Out of you amp, to the Line In jack on your sound card on your computer.

The white box is part of the Roxio hardware for converting LP's to Cd's. When I switch the wires, going into the box from my Amplifier, I still get only the left track. So If I put my left wires into the left track and right wires in the rt. I get only left. If I switch the wires, then I get the Rt amplifier sound on the left track. But either way I get NO right track.

At one time, I was getting a moving "bar" on the software screen that showed the level of sound coming into the rt and left side. Now both "bars" are maxed to their limit, and they do not fluxuate.

I have connected speakers to the amp connections and both sides are coming out fine. That is also comfirmed when I swithch the wires while recording. It all just goes to the left side only.

If the bars are maxed out it could be you are over driving the signal strength going into the Roxio USB device. Do you have any other source ( output jacks) on your amplifier that you could use, this way you can better control the level of the signal, OR just crank down the output going to the speakers.

In post #5 is picture of the Roxio program LP to MP3...is this what you have. If not what do you have.

That is the Roxio that I am trying. I do have a volume control on my amp. I have it turned very low. I did watch my computer screen while I adjusted the amp volume and the "bars" did not change.

What happens when you turn the volume control off.

Are you using the little Y adapter to plug into your sound card? That mini plug on the end is a stereo plug.Maybe it's not making good contact or it's defective.

If you're only getting the right no matter if you input the left or right channel then either the device is bad or the cable is.

So how are you connecting it?With the Y adapter to your sound card or USB?
