Mydvd Menu Linking To Chapters

Coastalguy

Question

:angry2: I am trying to burn a Video DVD and add menus at the beginning that you can click on to go to the various sections of the video and also be able to click back to using a DVD remote. I have been able to create chapters, which you can get to through the NEXT button on the remote, but I haven't a clue on how to create menu buttons and link them to the chapters. I have worked on this for over an hour, an perused the help sections, but I am totally unable to figure it out. Can anyone give me a lead in on at least how to begin, or a set of steps?

Update: found checkbox at bottom of chapter edit page, allowing the automatic creating of menus. Didn't see it before. Thanks anyway,

My DVD doesn't have a checkbox to link chapters in the Edit Chapters menu. The start of the movie has a lock on it. Is that my problem. How do I unlock it. The program I'm using is 2011. The source of the video was obtained through VHS to DVD. Thanks t

You now have two posts in hijacked threads (here in the C2011 forums and the same question in the VHS2DVD forum) Which program do you really have?

It would also have been a lot better if you had started your own thread instead of hijacking threads.

Have you created the chapters for the movie? The first chapter (in this case your movie) will always have a lock on it. It cannot be removed since every movie has to have at least one chapter.
