vschendel
I used Easy CD Creator 5 (?) to create a bunch of .jwl files (CD labels). With numerous operating system upgrades, my husband opted to throw away the original disk vs. working/upgrading/investigating how to get the application to run on Windows 7. Is there any way to retreive/recover these files? Just interested in the jewel case files and re-using them again without spending $100 on a the lastest version of software. Thanks. Brendon
The Version 5 Jewel Case Creator is the only software guaranteed to be able to handle version 5 .JWL files. Although ECDC 5 in general will NOT run in Windows 7, if you can get a copy of the folder which contains CDJEWEL.exe and its two sub-folders from an old system backup you can run that program solo in Windows 7 and use your old .JWL files with it. If you can't get a backup copy of the label creator program, you might be able to find someone who will sell you the original ECDC5 disc. You would need to install it on an earlier Operating System and then copy the required folders to your Win 7 machine, since you can only run it but not install it in Win 7.
