No Signal But Video Appears In Preview Window

MJHartsough

Question

I've been using the Roxio Video Capture USB device to digitize VHS tapes.

It's been working fine, except for one tape.

Although the video is appearing in the preview window, the Media Import status is "No Signal", and the "Capture Now" button is greyed out.

The only thing I can think of is that this tape is showing a black and white image, and Media Import is for some reason expecting a color image.

So I'm hoping someone can confirm whether or not Media Import (and/or the Roxio Video Capture USB device) works ok with B&W tapes, and what I can try to successfully digitize this tape.

Thanks,

Mike

Is it a "commercial tape".
