Cannot Edit Chapters

Kawboy

Question

I have version 10.3.104 of Easy CD and DVD burning, so I hope in the right forum. I am so mad at this thing, I may delete it and never get a Roxio product again, but then maybe it is just not knowing where to go. The program is not Easy to work AT ALL! I already have a movie or video that I created in MS Movie Maker and saved it in wmv file format. I am now trying to import that into Roxio (which I succeeded at that) opened MYDVD Express and am trying to add chapters to it. But I do not see the Edit chapter button or whatever the help file says should be there. It says it should be on the left, but it isn't. Can someone please tell me where the hek this button is or should be and why I can't see it.

Your stripped down version, which has nothing to do with the 7 year old Version 6, may not have that feature.

Where did you purchase the software? I thought that that version may have come with a computer.

Derek741: No version of the Red Box even has VideoWave or MyDVD…

Chapters are not possible with this cut down version of the software. This is $30 software. Don't expect $100 features ;)

Your right, I now remember where I got it. At Staples, and yes, it was $30 software, however I either read or was lead to believe it could create Chapters. In the "help" section, it said how to create chapters, but wouldn't. Obviously, I was mistaken or mislead, either way it doesn't do it. I tried importing each "chapter" as a separate movie, but the software doesn't seem to be able to fit it on a normal 4.7G disc. I am now working with a Vista OS software that will work importing each as a separate movie. And it is much better than the Roxio and will fit it on the DVD. Thanks for all your help with this.

I've had it for a couple years now, didn't try to use it much until now. I have XP so thought this was the wrong forum to post in, thanks for clearing that up. Figures it don't have what I thought it did. Can't remember where I got it, but it sounded like it should have had chapters at least. Looks like then all I can do is import a video and burn it with this program- pretty much useless otherwise I guess. :( Thanks for the response.

You should import into VideoWave not MyDVD, Then after your edit transfere to MyDVD to Burn

That's exactly my program. I've gotten out of denial and realize this "COMPATIBLE to Windows" is misleading since this part is not.

Kawboy cannot edit chapters because Easy CD and DVD Burning only has MyDVD Express, not the full-featured MyDVD.

Easy CD and DVD burning 10.3 is compatible with Windows 7, but it is still a cut-down emasculated version of Easy Media Creator and I believe it shouldn't be sold unless all the restrictions and shortcomings are listed. It satisfies a few customers with simple needs, but it leaves the rest either having to pay AGAIN to get the full version or else very bitter with Sonic/Roxio and moving to another software vendor altogether.
