Disc Failed To Burn

I went to the Support page & searched '8004520c error'; after reading their comment on defraging, I signed off and ran the 2010 program down to the burn screen. I figured that the program was to weak to work around a fregmented drive, then it sure couldn't handle my settings to my high gig external hard drive. I reset everything back to the C: drive and reran the burn. The error does not happen now. I've made it all the way through the burn process. Now all I have to do is figure out why at the end of the burn I get "disc failed to burn". How does it feel to be beta testers?

Perhaps if you could actually explain what you are trying to do, we can help...

 

You are not beta testing anything... The program has been out for a year and reached its' End of Life a couple of months ago.

No program that needs to transfer data at a reasonablr bit rate works well with a badly fragmented drive. Defragging a drive is supposed to be a normal part of compuer meinetanance anyway.

 

As for the external drive, unlss that's badly fragmented too, there shouldn't be any problems.

 

Now the failed burn problem. You didn't give us a lot of details there - what app are you using, are you makine a data or audio CD or is it a video DVD?
