Help--Photosuite Won't Print By Spooling

Question

Hello,

I can't get photosuite(2011) to print spool just direct print. Spooling works with other programs just fine. I have Win7 64bit, updated drivers and new printer(Lexmark). Lexmark wasn't much help since it prints fine in other programs, they said to call Roxio. Haven 't tried Roxio support yet. I believe its the photosuite program. It sees the printer, but when its set to spool it won't print.

Why do you require spooling? Print spooling was handy years ago when we had really slow CPUs, but with fast dual core and quad core machines, it isn't necessary.

It seems to me a faster print. I do agree that if I had to resign myself to print direct, its not going to be a hugh lost, but even my old Roxio Easy Creator 2009 could not print spool, I had a different printer and computer with XP. I would figure there would be a fix to this, by now.

Spooling seems faster because Windows literally spools the print job to a temp file so it releases the application to do something else. I think spooling is turned on by default in Windows. When I get a chance, I'll try printing something from PhotoSuite to see if it works for me with my Canon Printer.

Sounds good, let me know the results.
