retiredandlovingit
In preparation for installing Roxio Creator 2011 - I am using the Complete Uninstall of Creator 2009 and 2010 (Windows XP) as documented in http://kb.roxio.com/search.aspx?URL=/content/000206CR&PARAMS=set-locale=en I am running Windows XP SP3 on this system. There are some files not documented in the uninstall for removal that remain on my system. I am wondering if they should be removed? They are: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\roxio C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Sonic_Solutions\CinePlayer.exe_Url_53u2gr2hktjgqn0tjrnin5pnt2zwju3x At this time I have completed all of the documented instructions without incident. However before proceeding I wanted to ask about this files. Thanks !!!!
0 Brendon
When I have done it I have removed both the Roxio and the Sonic_Solutions folders and their subfolders from under the Application Data folder. That never caused me any problems.

That never caused me any problems. Thank You !!! for taking time to reply. I did delete the files and attempted to install Creator 2011 from the CD. I say attempted because it started then stopped. No error messages. Hours after starting it was no longer running. Looks like a partial install but I do not know what to do next. Have asked support for their assistance and have an open problem ticket in their queue. I sure hope others are having better luck than me. Guess I should have left well enough alone and just kept the 2009 version that was running. Now I have nothing and when I tried to use Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard received a message saying An installation for Roxio CinePlayer is currently suspended. You must undo changes made by that installation to continue. Seem to be going in the wrong direction. Oh Well. Need to give the support team time to look at the files that wanted. Hopefully they will see something or at least tell me how to get rid of/uninstall this product and either retry 2011 or go back to 2009. 0 Brendon
Good luck with that. I'm afraid I don't have much experience with several versions installed at once. I always uninstall then spring clean, deep clean, dryclean, and scrub it out with lye soap before I put another version in.
