Let's start with the actual version you have – Here Then the details of HOW you went from the VHS onto that DVD… Does the DVD play on your PC? Are you able to try it in other DVD Players? Feel free to add details about your PC and OS
0 tadams
Jim, I have the same issue--the completed DVD is not playable (or recognized) in the PC DVD player, or on my home DVD player. I used Easy VHS to DVD to burn the project to DVD after recording a VHS tape in the mpg format. The video is less than an hour long and easily fits on the DVD. The saved mpg video is good and can be previewed and edited in the app. I tried again after disabling all start programs and creating a new admin user, but got the same results. I have the latest version of Roxio VHS to DVD (Build 201B23A, ENU) I used Maxell DVD+R 4.7GB disk with * Windows 7 Home Premium (Version 6.1.7600 Build 7600) * System Type: x64-based PC * Make: HP * Model: Pavilion Elite e9120y * Video card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 * Processor speed: 2.60 GHz * RAM: 8.00 GB * Free hard drive space: 687 GB * DVD Drive: ATAPI DVD A DH16A6L-C SCSI CdRom Device (drivers are current) * I last did a Windows update on: Current Windows update 11/14/2010

BTW, Maxell DVDs are are near the bottom when it comes to quality DVds. Try better qualitiy DVDs such as Verbatims. I would also suggest you get some RW DVDs to experiment with until you get a good result. You can then burn the final product to a R DVD. I'll try another brand as you suggested. Thanks for the info.
0 tadams
I was able to create a playable DVD using TDK DVD-RW. It appears that Maxell DVD+R disks were the problem--not sure if it was the Brand, or +R that caused the problem.
