Can 2011 Picture Size, Motion And Placement?

haubihouse

Question

On an earlier version of Videowave before Roxio bought it, I could manually manipulate the size, motion and placement of a picture (i.e., I could have a picture fade in from the top left as a small picture and have it move to the right center and grow to a larger picture and stay there). Cannot do this in 2010 version, so I'm told. I would like to have a picture with a second smaller picture appearing in a corner, much like a person having an idea and the idea fading in as a smaller picture above their head. I guess this is like having the abilty to do a custom transition, where I can control movement and placement. The only way I can do this now is to use other software to cut and paste a combined picture, which is a hassle and messy. Would like to move to 2011 but want this feature. Any suggestions??

What earlier version are you talking about?

You can do most of what you want in C2010 by using the overlay tracks. This allows you to have a small picture slide in from one side to a position on the screen. You can then have that picture fade out. It requires a bit of experimentation to get exactly the right effect.

I just created a quick test project in C2010 that does this without much difficulty. The only thing I can't seem to adjust is the size of the picture as it moves)
