Need Burning Help

Well, i've been having a blast with the program.......until today.

 

for the record I am running windows 7 on a toshiba Satelite notebook. Everything was working fine until this morning. I burned a file this morning and went to check it and it did not record. so i kept trying with the same result. I tried switching drives to my external dvd drive and the same thing. So i've elimenated my notebook and my external drive as the problem. That leaves just the program as being the problem. I uninstalled and re-installed the program, and there is no change. Any ideas?

I don't see where the program would be the problem, after all it has been working well up to now. That seems to indicate that something has changed in your system.

Can you still burn with other programs?

 

Perhaps describing what you are doing might help. At the moment there is not much information to work with.

I am trying to burn avi files from old dr. who tapes

 

like i said, when i went to bed last night it had been working fine. then i picked up where i left off last night and have'nt been able to burn anything all day. the project opens, encodes the video, encodes menus and i can hear the drive(s) tryin g to record, but nothing records. (I go back and check each dvd after burning to make sure it's a good copy)

 

as for my other burning programs, i got the same with toshiba disc creator and windows dvd burner

If you got the same with other burning programs, them I'm afraid the bony finger is pointing fair and square at your burner drive. It may have blown its burning circuitry somewhere.

I ended up having to do a system recover........bummer
