Where Do The Temp Files Go?

Lisamo

Question

Hi,

I am using Roxio Creator 2010 Pro. I have been copying some movies. Since I have only 1 DVD drive, it makes a temp file on my hard drive. I was under the impression that once I was done copying the movie, the temp file was deleted or it would be deleted when I copied a new movie.

The way my 500GB HD is shrinking I KNOW these files are somewhere.. and I can't find them.

I have Windows 7 -64bit.

On my old XP system, Roxio stored these file in Application Data folder. I would go in there and delete them.

I have searched for iso.files and nothing comes up but I know they are there... somewhere.

Thanks!!

I assume you have used Windows to search for the temp and TMP files. Did Windows find them? Have you rebooted lately? CCleaner (free) is a good tool to use to clean temporary files and junk files off your computer.

I don't quite understand how you are doing your copying. Are you creating iso files from the movies? Are you then burning those iso files to a DVD? If yes then those are not temp files and will not be deleted. You have to deliberately delete those iso files.

Perhaps you should explain exactly what you are doing. Be specific and name the correct program and option you are using.
