Any Reason Not To Install 2011 Sp1?

Has anyone experienced issues with installing SP1?

 

I saw one post mention a problem.

 

I have some issues with the base version and I don't see these issues addressed in the SP - but they could be.

 

 

I am running Win 7 ultimate.

What kind of problems? I doubt that Roxio listed every little change they made with SP1 so there may be some things that MIGHT help.

One problem I see is: Videowave - at near the beginning of a production I have a colour slide, dissolve, 1st video clip with a text overlay, dissolve, 2nd video clip and so on.

 

The transition between the 1st and second clips plays fine the first time. Subsequent playings results in dark frames, jerkiness or uneven dissolves depending on the phase of the moon.

 

If I close Roxio down completely, restart and play the production, it is back to normal till I play it again.

 

Another problem, that goes way back, is that on some files after editing, the audio/video sync is out by about 1 seconds.

 

This, on top of the scene issue I mentioned on another thread, is what I have noticed to date.

 

I am new to EMC 2011 but have been using EMC 7.5 since it came out.

 

However, I am concerned about issues around the installation of SP1.

Some details on the PC Creator 2011 is installed on?

 

Running the repair option removes SP1....
