Opinions About Creator 2011 Pro - Reviews?

Question

I was wondering what others think about the new Roxio 2011 version? Pros and cons?? I currently have creator 10. I've had several versions of Roxio now and they all have had problems with crashing all the time. I've had many other problems also. I've read that alot of people get the same problems so it seems to be a roxio thing. Roxio 2009 crashes so much I don't even bother any more. I've had my computer completely checked out and it's fine.

 

I'm thinking of upgrading but wondered if the new version had the bugs which the older ones have? I'm looking for more features for my videos to make them fancier and more professional. More wow factor. And the pro v's the standard one. Is it worth getting the pro or is it basically the same? Not that bothered about 3D at this stage.

 

I've thought many times about changing programs but I know Roxio pretty good now so thought I'd give it one more try with the newer version.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If the program works and then stops working, the first thing to look at is the use of a registry cleaner. It can be a stand alone like Registry Mechanic or it can be included in you anti-virus program. Don't use them or disable the feature or tell the program to ignore anything connected with Roxio and Sonic.

 

EMC 8 was perhaps the buggiest of the versions !

Don't expect a refund if it doesn't install properly. After trying several installs I attempted to get a refund and never got a response beyond contact this department in an endless loop. Ended up reinstalling Win 7 from scratch and then installing Roxio Creator 2011 pro. Works for now but WTF? Uninstall is even worse. Just plain lazy coding and *^$$ poor customer service.

Where did you purchase the new version from? If you bought it from a third party vendor, then you must request a refund from them. If purchased from Roxio, which link did you use or did you just email them? I am not assuming you did not use the right avenue to request a refund, rather I am asking for specifics so others will be aware what to expect. This is what I found out from Roxio's website;

Also have you considered filing a complaint with the FTC? Start by clicking on the link below. The next question you answer with dissatisfaction with another company's business practices, then you will see two drop down boxes, the first select Computer Hardware/Software, then for the second you will select Software..after that follow all the prompts.
