Jodi
Hi all. Glad I found this forum. Here's what I did. I made my first movie, "Summer 2005." I burned it. Later on, decided to make another. I opened up program, wanted to be sure "Summer 2005" was still there, even though I already burned it; I still want to save it for a bit. So, I did File, Open, and opened Summer 2005. Now, I import the video and begin my "Little League 2006" movie, spend hours editing it. Guess what? It's on Summer 2005 movie. Yikes. I wanted that movie to be a done deal, over and done, already burned. How can I get that Little League movie to be 'by itself'? Both movies are 1 hour long, so they wouldn't fit anyway. They do show in different colors in the Workshop, so I thought I was okay. I anxious await an answer. Thank you. Jodi
james_hardin
Summer 2005 is in the Title, Movie A. If you click on the first empty frame in Movie B, then import Little League 2006, it will import to Movie B. This will create a separate Title. An alternative, as I have had them land in the Intro or Movie A, is to then drag the movie to the Title you want it in.

I wanted to burn one year at a time and save that year as a separate file. In my screening room right now, I have colors of purple, green, blue, and a coral. I can't right click and delete the empty ones, and I can't seem to separate the two "movies" unless they already are. But, if they are, then the "DVD estimted time is 7.027 GB, which I know will not fit on a single DVD. How would I just burn one of the movies I made? I know I need to get the counter down to 4.? GB. I'm thinking this is all one movie, as there is only one "intro" section all the way up top, so I am guessing these are submenu I'm looking at? Again, how can I make this 2 movies/2 separate files to fit on 2 dvd and then I can make second intro and all that? Go ahead, say it -- start all over ??? james_hardin
I did not understand what you wanted to do… There are two clips showing on the right side similar to the image I have included. Click on the clip that you do not want and drag it to the trashcan. (or right click and choose delete) Select File – Save As, and save your project with a new name. Extra Info: With DVD Builder when you save a project it creates a file project_name.hpr, which is normally stored in you’re, My Documents folder. That file does not contain a single frame of video or still pictures! What it is, is more like a series of notes telling Builder what files are used in your project, their location and what you want to do with them. Your source clips are never altered in any way, so even if you have a 60 minute clip and cut out all but 5 seconds of it in the screening room, your original clip is completely untouched! Yet every time you load that project, only 5 seconds will show. In V7 & V8 you actually do all of your editing in VideoWave then add the VW project file to Builder to create the menu interface, chapters, button behavior, etc. Much more complex and much more powerful than V6.
