Problem Trimming Video

jim v

Question

i just loaded creator pro 2011 and i already have a problem. i understand beginning and end trimming in video wave but i can not find the screen that allows me to trim in between the beginning and end. ie. delete a portion of the clip in the middle or several portions in the middle. i can not find the screen that is mentioned in the manual with the trim point wedges. just the trim front and end shows when i select trim tool.can someone help? at this point i probably don't even know enough to understand the answer so please bear with me! thanks!

This (video) is from an earlier version of the software but it is still thata same process. The only thing to remember is to keep selecting the section you want to split or delete. If you make a mistake, just click the undo option.

Be sure that you are int he timeline mode and not the storyline mode.

Maybe these screen captures will help.

1--after you have inserted the video in the Videowave program, (click on the "Timeline" tab (as Steve suggested) Now highlight the video (should outline the video with dashed lines) Now move the vertical video marker where you want to start to remove a portion of the video and then click on the "split" icon.

2--Now move the vertical marker to the location where you want to end that portion of the video. Again, highlight the area of the video past where you just split and then click on the "split" icon again.

3--Now highlight the portion of the video between the start and end splits and "RIGHT" click on that area of the video.

4--On the drop down menu, clcik on "Delete" and that portion of the video should now be gone.

If the screen shots are not clear, please let em know.
