Proxy Manager Has Stopped Working

Mark63

Question

I have just installed Easy VHS to DVD and whenever I run the application, while starting up I get a Windows message saying Proxy Manager has stopped working. The application continues to load and I can record a clip - which is saved correctly to my drive - but it doesn't appear in my list of videos. If I try to import the clip, Roxio Easy VHS to DVD crashes. I have tested the captured video using Win Media player and it plays fine.

Can someone assist with how to fix the proxy manager problem first. I believe the second problem may be related.

I have a Dell Inspiron 530s with Core 2 Duo 2.83GHz processor, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro graphics card. OS is Vista with Service Pack 2 installed. I have DirectX 10, Windows Media Player 11. What else can I check?

The problem I had is due to having Roxio Creator installed. You cannot install Easy VHS to DVD if you have another Roxio program installed. I didn't want to upgrade to the latest version of Creator, which supports the VHS to DVD application so I returned my Easy VHS to DVD and got a refund from Roxio.
