Updating To Creator 2011 From Creator 2009 - Are Roxio Files Portable?

Panil

Question

Hello,

I am not very familiar with using Roxio Creator programs, and I now realize that I am in a tricky situation. I bought Creator 2009 more than a year ago to run on my old pc with OS XP. When I bought a new PC with Windows 7 I did not realize that Creator 2009 is not compatible with Windows 7. Strangely enough, I managed to install Creator 2009 on my new PC with Windows 7 and also managed to edit videos. However, I now realize that I might run into problems with merging files, burning etc. since Creator 2009 is not compatible with Windows 7. Is it possible to go back to the XP environment and hence export the necessary files from the Windows 7 environment? It seems like the .dat-files are the problem. Is it possible to upgrade to Creator 2011 and move the work I have already done in Creator 2009 to that environment?
