Janetwoodturner
I am trying to copy videos of operas on to DVD's but they are 2.5 to 3 hours long. Does Roxio easy VHS-DVD work with dual layer DVD's? Or alternatively can this programme be made to work to copy vidoes to an external hard drive? Actually the preferred and most reliabale capture method to to first capture to your hard drive. Avoid the PlugBurn option unless you want to create a few coasters. A standard 4.7GB DVD can only hold 60 minutes of best quality video, any longer the video has to be compressed and you lose quality. BTW, if these are commercial tapes they they may have protection on them which may prevent copy. Anyway it would be illegal to make copies. Janetwoodturner
Thanks for this. It works fine. The only thing is that when I try to set the recording duration it will not let me enter more than 2 hours. This means I have to be near the computer at the time I think it will finish - a bit of a pain. Any solution?
