Disccatalogmaker Re Won't Close/quit

mithridain

Question

After I burn a DVD-R (just data) and verify it's good, DiscCatalogMaker RE launches and shows me how I should label the disc. After I'm done with Toast, I choose Quit. However, DiscCatalogMaker RE does not quit along with Toast. When I switch to DiscCatalogMaker RE, nothing happens (i.e. I do not see menus). The only option I have is to Force Quit it. I have also tried pressing 'q' when using Command-Tab to switch between applications.

Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a way to stop this from happening?

System info: MacBook Pro 17" unibody, Mac OS X 10.6.4

Software info: Toast 10.0.8, DiscCatalogMaker RE 5.5.6

If you open DiscCatalogMaker RE from the Finder are you able to quit it? My only guess why it won't quit is there may be a dialogue window open behind the application window that needs to be closed, such as the one reminding you to label the disc. You can turn off the setting to have that reminder open and also turn off automatically launching DiscCatalogMaker by unchecking the boxes in the Advanced tab of the Recorder Settings window.

Sorry that I don't know what's causing this problem. I don't use that feature.

I had to force quit the "DiskCatalogMaker RE" process from the Activity Monitor. It won't show up as an app (with menus, i.e. "Disk Catalog Maker" menu next to the Apple menu) even though it shows in the dock as a running app. I suspect it's because it's hung and won't appear/come forward.
