Record Duration Less Than A Second

Question

I just bought this to convert laserdisc to video. The video shows up fine in the window, but when I select record, it starts and then stops after less than a second. I have set the time manually and have switched from hardware to software rendering, but still no change. Any ideas? Currently running Win 7 Ultimate 64bit with 8GB ram.

How have you got the Laser disc hooked up to your computer, and what application within the program are you using?. More details please.

Sorry, I wasn't clear on it. I have the audio and video outs connected just as I would for VHS.

I am using Roxio Easy VHS to DVD build 201B23A and am using the Record Edit and Save Function to create an MPG file.

I get full video and sound, but when I click the Record button, the recording starts then stops in less than a second.

The end result is an mpg that play for about .25 seconds with a file size of 432kb (file attached)

Did it work ok with a VCR?.

Try a different device, DVD Player, camcorder, etc?

Also, plug your USB into a different port, one on the back is preffered.

It looks like it's my 64bit tower with 8GB or RAM, don't know why.

Installed to a laptop with 4gb of RAM running Win7 Home Prem. and it worked....BUT

Now, I have to resolve the jerky video and audio issue.

Did you try a different source (post #4 on this thread) on the Laptop?.
