Signal Protected

Question

Trying to figure out this signal protected problem that keeps coming up midway through my Video8 tape. I'm using version 111B24AENU. The tape seems fine. I tried the windows movie maker loop whole but the highest you can go on the quality is 2.1 mbps(maybe i'm wrong but that's what it looked like to me) I tried help menu check for updates without any luck. Please help!! thanks!

What operating system and service packs are you running this version on?

That is the Build Number for the 1.1.124 versions.

There was a SP2 for that version and he does not indicate it is applied???

I would guess he has XP as that was the LAST version where Windows Movie Maker was able to capture from USB.

I am using XP and there are no service packs that I have installed. I go to help and check for updates and it tells me there are none, however, I have never updated the software since I installed it. When I go to the help menu it brings up the software manager and says that there are no updates available.

-Thanks

Your antivirus/firewall isn't stopping a connection is it? Shut it off and try the programs updater again..

still no luck tried a complete uninstall and installed without any luck. It seems that even in control panel the software update manager is malfunctioning somehow. Does anyone have service pack 2 that I could get off them for my version or can anyone recommend other capture software/hardware I just want to get my home videos onto my harddrive... if it is any help when i go into control panel and try to open the software updater i get error messages with it telling me it is trying to install roxio media manager.

thanks
