Window Installer/ Roxio Media Manager

jbortz

Question

I am about to pull my head off from this issue. I did the fix at the following link you suggested but it did not stop the pop up window with the windows installer which leads to the roxio media manager update. So now that I have gone into program files and deleted everything that says roxio and sonic I am not sure what the next step is to get this thing to stop popping up. So please help!!!!!!!!!!!

The article you point to was last updated, before Creator 2011 came out??? At the bottom it refers to other articles for EMC 9 & 10…

Point is, I don’t think it applies to the product you have, which is 3-4 versions newer.

Why don’t you post the specifics of your problem so we can offer something that might be of use.

Also list you PC Spec, and see if by chance you have an OEM version of Roxio on that PC. (there is a 10.3 OEM version that a lot of PC's come with ;) )

I realized as soon as I hit send that I didn't load any specs, sorry about that. I have tried several solutions from multiple sources, but to know avail so let just start fresh.

Gateway mp6954, windows xp, media center edition version 2002 service pack 3, 1.6 ghz centrino duo,

so here is what is happening. turn on computer windows installer pops up. then it starts roxio media manager, then unable to find certificate, then I click okay which start windows configuration of roxio media manager. then I get error unable to read certificate, and it tells me the information I need is on a removable disk. I open task manager to close it all. then about 5 minutes later it starts all over again, and again, and again....

any help on this would save what little hair I have left.

thank you,

Comfirm that you have Creator 2011 and that you do not have the Blackberry Media Manager on your computer.

what is creator 2011 and how do I check to see if I have it? I did check through the c drive and I have research in motion files so eventhough I hit unistall blackberry stuff it appears I have it still. The first link I posted showed me how to do through and delete roxio files should I do the same thing for blackberry stuff?

I think the problem is both. I have the blackberry version, but I also seem to have a roxio media player which has actually never really worked well and so I have just used media player for that. i think it is the blackberry product that started this loop.

You must go to Blackberry to get a solution. They have highly modified the program. Read this.
