Skip On Beginning Of Song/how To Clean

Peralko

Question

So far I'm not impressed with this program (Easy LP to MP3). Not much help anywhere in the literature that came with the program. So far, all songs skips at the beginning--a double note if you will. Also, I thought the clean would eliminate pops and extraneous noises--they're still there. Is this outfit shysters--should I have bought someone else's program?

You posted in Creator 2010 section of the forum - is that what you have or do you have only the LP to mp3? If you have only that application, then the following is NOT for you.

You would have to answer those question for yourself. I don't know why you would get that double note. LP to MP3 is an application cut from the full Creator 2010 suite of programs. I have been using 'Sound Editor" for many years and have never had a problem as you are describing. Roxio is part of the Sonic major corporation; I doubt that the mother corporation would allow any kind of deceitful operation.

I prefer to use "Capture audio from Sound Card" followed by Editing In Sound Editor (Edit Audio). Once you capture the audio and select stop, a window will open and give you several options. Sound Editor is one of those.

If the pops and extraneous noises are bad enough, then there is no way of removing them- with any consumer program- without ruining the rest of the audio. Did you get the Pro version of Creator 2010? If so, then Bias Sound Soap is the best way of cleaning the audio. After you capture, close the capture application, open Sound Soap (under the Bias folder) and add the file. Use that to clean up the entire capture at one time and then save the cleaned audio file. Add that to Sound Editor to split into clips and export then them to a disc or simply burn the clips to a disc.

Now, if you have only the LP to Mp3 application, tell us about your computer and your source (turntable). Tell us what else is ruining on your computer at the same time. What audio card do you have and is the driver updated? I have not heard anyone else complain about the double note but I guess it is possible.
