I think that it falls into a gray area, but generally has been denounced here...

 

I have copied a few and generally speaking, the results I got were not to my satisfaction after becoming used to DVD's and BD's :(

 

For my own tastes, I won't bother to copy a VHS unless it not available on a DVD or BD!

I do not currently have Roxio Easy VHS to DVD. I have a number of commercial VHS movies in my library that I would like to copy to DVD. Am I allowed to do that?

I have a similar situation... I have about 100 old VHS tapes of commercial movies, but they do not copy well. I have found in almost every case I get a better copy by downloading it from the internet and burning a DVD from that source. For those few moves that are not available online, I'll make do with the poor quality.
