Mydvd - Background Picture And Music On Menus

I'm running into two issues, when I try to create a very basis DVD menu:

1) When I pull in a family picture, regardless of size, it expands when I try to use it as the background, thus cutting off the heads. Is there a way to resize the picture w/in MyDVD?

2) I would like to not have any background music for the menus, but I can't seem to locate a 'No music' option. Please point me in the right direction.

1) Most likely you are using a picture in the portrait format. Initially the photo is expanded to fill the menu window which results in the top and bottom of the picture being cut off because of zooming. To show the whole picture, right click on the menu page and then click on the Edit Menu Background. The whole pciture will now appear. To return to the menu click Baxck to myDVD

 

2) Select Remove Menu Audio in the Menu drop down box
