Roxio And Norton360

Visitor

Question

My easy Creator 9 was working fine with Norton Internet Security 2010 until I upgraded to 360. Video wave could not save more than 150 photos without switching back & forth between running & not running. I couldn't get it to transfer to MyDVD either. I took off Creator 9 making sure I removed everything. I then did a clean instal of Creator Pro 2010. Same problem. The CPU usage was only 2% where it normally runs at 27% for Roxio saves. I then bought Creator 2011 and installed it on my husbands brand new powerful Sony, which had never had a Roxio programm before. Exactly the same result. Inability to save quuite small volumes of Photos or videos. In desperation I took my HP desk top back to factory settings and turned off the broadband. Loaded Creator 9 and it worked like a dream. Downloaded Norton 360 and it all went pearshaped again. The Sony also has Norton 360 on so that would explain 2011's failure. I now have Avast antivirus installed which is a free download with a good reputation. Needless to say my Creator 9 is churning out DVD's with no effort.I am running Vista x64 on a HP Pavilion with an Intel®Core2Quad processor CPU Q8200@2.33GHz with 4.0GB RAM so it's no slouch. Hope this is useful to someone out there.

Thank you for posting. The problems with Norton, and Roxio products, has been discussed for many years now. There are workarounds for the Norton products.

Norton 360 works just fine with every version of Roxio that I have . I have never had a single problem with it and installing or running Roxio products. I am running basically the same HP as you.

I don't know what you mean by "save more than 150 photos". You will have to explain that. Where are you saving and exactly what are you saving?
