Adding Picture (Jpg) Files To Dvd Disc With Video (Mydvd Project)

AJ88CAB

Question

I made a DVD using MyDVD that includes a 5 minute Video (from a video file) and 10 minute Slideshow-Video (made from jpg image files). It all works fine and there is not much DVD capacity used by the short videos. I would like to give copies of the DVD to family members and want to also include the photo images (jpg) on the DVD so they can make prints of the individual photos used in the slideshow-video.

Is this possible? Can I put the DVD files and the photo files (jpg) on the same DVD?

Yes but not on the DVD you made. Do you have the slide show project or did you output it to a file from Video Wave? If you saved the production, go to Create DVD and then options. One of the options is to archive the images. They will be added t the disc.

If you saved the Create DVD project, you can output it to a folder set and then add a file with the images to the folder set before burning the folder set to the disc.

Hey guys,

I tried (twice) the "Archive Photos" method (from Project Settings) and it did not save the photos to the DVD. Any ideas why this would not work?

Thanks, Andrew

Archive photos only works if you add the project to the DVD menu; not if you add projects that you have converted to a video format.

I assume that you are using Video Wave to create the slide shows and that you have explored the disc on your computer.

Yep...I was sitting at lunch and it hit me, of course it won't include the files, its a video I added to the menu. My brain is already shutting down for the holidays...

And BTW, It never dawned on me all these years I've been using Creator that you could just add the project to the DVD menu...what was it my Dad used to say about reading the instructions:)

That sound you hear is a big "dope slap" I just gave myself:)

Thank you!
