Videowave Problem

Buffalo Bill

Question

Hello! I'd appreciate any help someone can give me. I am using Roxio Creator 2011 Pro, and Windows XP 5.1 SP3.

I am building a project of still pictures in VideoWave, and adding some motion to the pictures. A border appears on some, not all of the frames. Sometimes it's on top, sometimes on the side, and sometimes not at all! I have gone in and adjusted the motion box any number of ways to make sure it's nowhere near the border of the picture, but for some frames, it will be there no matter what I adjust. When I output the project, the border is there just as it shows up in the preview window. Thoughts? Help! Thank you...

How many images do you have in your project? If not a whole lot, do manual pan and zoom.

Also remember the TV Safe Zone. Read this (link). Modern TVs have a smaller TV Safe Zone but one is still there. Monitors do not show this issue so you have to see it on a TV.

I have about 25 pictures, and I already am doing the project with Manual pan and zoom. I don't understand what you are talking about the TV. The border shows up on my computer in the videowave program window as I am editing, when I then output the project and everywhere...

Did you look at/read the link? In Video Wave, go to view and then select TV safe zone. Anything in the dotted area will not show on normal TVs. Some high definition TVs will show more of the image. Are your images portrait or landscape? Are you selecting 4:3 or 16:9. What size ration does your camera record? My Nikon shoots 3 by 2. Other camera shoot in different ratios. Of cource, trying to fit a 3:2 into a 4:3 display something has to yield.

In Video Wave, select a new project and then go to File= Production Settings and select how to show the image full screen or show the entire source. Use which one works better for you.

Do a screen shot of the issue and post it in this thread.

Same thing happens with me using Roxio 2010. Have you tried using software rendering mode? I only get this problem in hardware rendering mode. If this is the case, I would be interested to know as it would confirm to me that updating to Roxio 2011 would be a waste of money as it would appear they haven't fixed many rendering problems that I experience.

Unfortunately the OP never came back to let us know wif the OP still had the issue.

If you are not interested in 3D, then there would be very little incentive to update. Since it is related to your video card (hardware rendering but no software) then unless you cange the card/drivers then I doubt that anything will be better.
