Roxio 2011 - Slideshow

dlyder

Question

I have just recently loaded Rosio 2011 on my latop. Running windows 7 home premium 64bit.; Intel processore 2.13ghz with 4mgs ram.

I have created a slideshow with 400 2mg photos. The slideshow seems to take a very long time to import and show the photos...in excess of 10 min. When I want to edit the slideshow it also takes a long time to load. Is this typical of the Roxio software or is there some system adjustments that need to be tuned?

Is that a typo or do you really have 2mg photos (Apple disc image)?

The photos were taken with a Nikon SLR and are up to 3.5Mbs in size.

I have a Nikon SLR and it does not output to 2mg. You are provideing part of the resolution of the camera. Are the file NEF (Nikon's raw format) or jpg?

If NEF, then you need to download the converter from Nikon.

The program should accept those files espacially when they are converted to jpg. Those high resolution photos are a waste of space if you are going to do anyhting other than edit. You can get away with much lower resolution if you are going to burn the slide show to a standard DVD or even an AVCHD or blu-ray disc.
