Program Won't Open - Certificate Error

Question

This is not a new installation so I not listing all the spec.s for my computer. I am running win xp though.

My problem is this,I am using Roxio Creator 2009 and recently when it opens to the home page and I click on any of the option icons like EDIT VIDEO ADVANCED or CAPTURE VIDEO ,I receive a message saying,The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted. This is followed by a notice --ERROR no permission to launch application...

I have removed the entire program twice and re-installed it with no improvement. Can you help.can it be fixed? thanks

Will the fix you mention for the 2010 and 2011 versions work for my 2009 version? :huh:

 

Sorry Gary. I posted that fix and then realized that you had Creator 2009 so I removed it.

 

If you can't find any other fix, I suggest that you

1) Back up your hard drive or create a restore point.

2) Download Revo Uninstallerand uninstall all Roxio and Sonic programs using the Moderate Mode.

3) Do these things

4) Reinstall.

 

Make sure that you keep your anti-virus OFF, not just paused during the install and stop using any Registry cleaners.
