Hi John,

Did you upgrade from Windows XP to a newer operating system?

If it has a new motherboard, a new processor, and a new hard drive, it IS a new computer. Your key seems to have been keyed to your old computer, not your new one.

You'll probably need a new key or new software.

Sonic DVD decorder pack 2.3.1 ESD.

Brendon, your saying that a bought retail 'Sonic DVD decoder pack 2.3.1 ESD' is somehow locked to a PC Hardware configuration like Microsoft OEM Operating Systems are?

What I've read that version is XP Operating System specific, that's why I asked that question.

Hi CD,

This is the first time I've heard of Sonic software at this consumer level being keyed to a particular computer, but that's what "now my key doesnt work it says its being used in a diffrent computer." seems to imply and I don't have the software so I can't test it myself.

John A,

could you answer Cdanteek's question about your operating System, and also tell us exactly what message you got when you tried to enter your key, please?

Brendon
