Sounds like you have placed a cd in your burner that has been formatted (by DirectCD). Use a disc that comes right of the packet/spindle.

Brendon
You could always disable Direct CD to prevent this problem occurring. It won't disturb normal operation of Easy CD Creator. There are two ways you can do this: [1] if you're familiar with the use of REGEDIT, delete the entry "AdaptecDirectCD" from the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run key or [2] If you don't want to edit your registry, -go to Start > Run and enter msconfig.exe -click on the 'Selective Startup' radio button -click on the 'Startup' tab and uncheck the entry for DirectCD -click OK, and then restart your Windows.
