Only Funny Music Gets Burned To Dvd

Hello:

I can watch the video and hear the sound on the software but in the end only music gets to be burned to the DVD!

It is a new installation and I have not had any luck with it.

Any suggestions?

What O/S ?.

How do you have the source analog signal hooked up to the Roxio USB device (be specific)?.

 

What application are you using in the VHS to DVD software?.

It has to be the latest version since I picked it up at Future Shop this week.

I am running XP Pro with the VHS player hooked up via RCA cables.

I can see and hear the video being played on the software program perfectly and when the actual program starts I push the record button and I can see my portable recorder start up but all I get after is a strange repeating music.
