Sound and Silence when playing DVD

Question

I was prompted for a Cineplayer Blu-ray AACS update today. I allowed the download and then installed it. So far so good.

I just added the Plextor PX-B940SA to my system. I also got the prompt to update Cineplayer but am experiencing an audio problem. I have set the audio default to digital cable and the intro on my Sorcerer's Apprentice plays fine but when I start the actual movie the audio cycles between sound and silence in about 1-2 sec segments. Would you have any suggestions?

What else do you have running? Anti-virus?

What are your PC specifications?

HP m8330f Media Center Computer

3 gig system ROM

2-1 TB hard drives

Plextor PX-894SA Blu-ray disk writer

Windows 7 Pro 32-bit

I'm disappointed to add that as an experiment I subsequently installed the Cyberlink BD Suite which was included with my Plextor Blu-ray Writer and the CyberLink software runs flawlessly. This leads me to believe that the Roxio Cineplayer software is flawed.
