devincoff
I burned home movies to DVDs using MYDVD6 and 8. Now I want to buy an external hard drive and retransfer the movies from DVDs to the hard drive. Can this be done? Can I make each chapter on DVD into a separate file on the hard drive? Brendon
Since you made them yourself, your DVDs won't have copy-protection. It should be quite easy for you to copy them onto your external drive, either as DVD folder sets [a Video_TS folder with all the VOBs, IFOs and BUP files] using Windows Explorer, or as ISO images using Roxio foftware. The folder sets might be the best idea, since it is sometimes difficult to put big [greater than 4 GB] ISO files onto an external drive. Making each chapter into a separate file would be a lot more fiddly, requiring lots of editing and conversion.
