Installation Problems

S_K_I

Question

Been having this issue and I cant seem to figure out.

My computer recently crapped out on me and I was forced to uninstall numerous problems due to that issue, one of them being Roxio Creator 2011. But for some reason I was unable to uninstall it from the program/removes from the control panel, so I was forced to delete it manually, and do a ccleaner and windows 7 manager to clear out the registry and every traces of roxio.

Now when I try to reinstall it, the only thing that installs photoexpress, and nothing else, and every time I try to wipe any trace of it, the same result occurs every time. I've read all the tutorials on how to do a clean wipe of the program from the system, but the same occurs every time, and I'm all out of ideas.

FYI my specs,

HP HDX9494nr laptop

t8100 intel processor

nvidia 8800m gts

samsung 160x2 gb raid array

2x2gb ocz ram.

WIndows 7 x64

Roxio Log Files.zip

Yea I already used the windows uninstall tool, even that didn't help, and another thing to add, the smartsound quicktracks don't even show up on the uninstall utility, yet i see it in the control panel remove window, even though it won't let me uninstall there. Like I said, I've exhausted all of my options at this point.

See if Revo Uninstaller (free) works. If not, they have a paid version that is supposed to work with partially installed/uninstalled programs.

I have used the free version but I have no experience with the paid version. This would be a last resort solution. You can get both at c/net.com.
