Project From Previous Version

Question

Hello,

I had an old version of Roxio (I believe it was MyDVD9) that came pre-installed on my computer. I was working on a project and it kept crashing when I was trying to save updates. Well, not the best of ideas, I uninstalled the software without checking for a backup copy. I am now unable to reinstall it. When I was speaking with a sales rep they said I would not be able to edit my old projects in Creator 2011. Does anybody know how I can edit an old project (file extension .dmsd)

Thanks for your help.

The only way to do it is to install the old software. Since you said you can't do that, you will have to start over, in a new version of the software.

Or, you could check with whatever manufacturer made your computer, and ask them if they have a backup disc.

You could also check e-Bay, but I would only do that as a last resort.

Thanks for the response.

I actually finally figured out how to reinstall it (reinstalling factory software) so except for the fact that it keeps crashing when I try to save it, at least I got the bulk of my work back.
