Pal/ntsc Message

When burning a DVD with clips coming from Imovie, I got the message " trying to burn both in Pal and NTSC, could not work properly" (something like that).

I burned the DVD anyway and I can play it on my dvd reader/recorder without problems.

 

Toast is set up in PAL.

 

Even if this is not a big problem as I can play the DVD anyway, why did I receive such a message?

For my previous burning session, Toast did not deliver such a message.

Why did I receive such a message?

DVDs should NOT have mixed PAL and NTSC content in order to be compatible with set top players.

If your player handles it okay, then that's fine for you, but don't expect other people's players to be as tolerant, because it is out of spec.
