When trying to remove Roxio Creator 9XE from my XP using the Add/Remove Programs feature, I get back a message that another installation is proceeding... NO other process is going on but I can't get beyond this step to get this piece of crap off my puter.

That "piece of crap" is a cut-down OEM version of the full retail Roxio version (I believe this came free with a Mad Dog burner),

Try this..... Uninstall all Sonic and Roxio products using Revo Uninstaller http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html ) in the MODERATE MODE. It is free.

Thanks for the clue about Revo. Yesterday, I stumbled upon it by Browsing for "Uninstallers", downloaded it free, ran it and it got rid of the Creator 9XE program. It worked great, but I am bewildered as to why the XP Add/Remove steps wouldn't work since it appears that Revo does the same thing. Oh well, thanks again, I am sure that your response will put someone else on the right path. It Works!!
