peter p
I need to format dvd-rw disks as they have been formated previously by our panasonic dvd recorder and will no longer take ordinary data etc. I cannot see anything in the program that will allow me to do this. Can someone please advise? I am using creator 2010 Pro. Thanks Peter p
gi7omy
'Formatting' was only done for the old packet writing system which is no longer used Try using 'erase disc' which should be in the 'tools' menu

I know they want formatting as this happened before (some time ago) and as soon as i formatted them all was ok. The problem is i cannot remember how i formatted them. Jim_Hardin
You don't format Optical Media to use in Roxio... Anything you 'remember' was made obsolete in 2007. Throw a disc in and look at it with Tools - Get Disc Info. What does it say about the disc? And exactly HOW are you attempting to write these disc's?
