Create Labels Advance-Roxio Label Creator

drewman

Question

I've used Roxio easy media creator 7 for windows XP for years creating 1000's of project files all with back labels with splines called (cd case back insert)for all my music and movies. This program will not install on my new windows 7 machine. So i just purchased Roxio creator 2011 thinking that all my former projects with the .jwl extension would work with 2011. 2011 will not open the former .jwl project files, and tells me the file must be corrupt. I also noticed in 2011 while trying to create a new project (cd case back insert), that I cannot copy one of the spline text boxes (show/hide smart objects) (title) and copy it to the center and have all three boxes update with new text when I enter text into one of the boxes. Only the 2 original boxes up date. I want the same text across the back of the cover and also on each spline by entering the text once. Is the a way to link all 3 or more boxes and have all update at once when new text is entered into one of them. Wish i could post the original .jwl project so one could see what I am trying to accomplish rather trying to text it. Hope i made this clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. drewman

P.S. I did try to up load file .jwl project file from creator 7, must of been to large. 6789 kb?

Hello,

Roxio Label Creator was changed substantially between Easy Media Creator 10.0, and EMC 10.1.

While there was a very small amount of compatibility between saved .JWL files in the earlier versions, there is no compatibility between files from the earlier versions and EMC 10.1 or later [Creator 2009, 2010, 2011 . . . ].

I have no idea if what you want to do can actually be done, sorry.
