2011 Pro & Cineplayer Hang After Installation

Robbie Doo

Question

I followed everyone's suggestion on reinstalling the program but for some reason it doesn't seem to work smoothly. 2011 Pro will get to the Main page but for some reason hangs (sometimes). As for Cineplayer BD - forget it! After inserting a disc (blu-ray), Neither the option window pop up nor the Cineplayer. After manually activating Cineplayer, it just hangs there.

Note: I have the 2011 Pro with Blu-ray plug-in.

Please add the information on your video and audio cards/chips to your signature.

The plug in you have allows you to author a blu-ray disc. It does not allow you to play blu-ray; that is adifferent CinePlayer plug in.

What else do you have running when you are opening/running the applications. Do you have your anti-virus set to scan EVERYTHING being written to your hard drive. That would be my guess.

Do you haqve a blu-ray drive? If Cineplayer doesn't open when you insert a disc, can you open it, and then select to play a non-blu-ray movie?

Thank you sknis for response.

The plug-in is the same as your link was suggesting ($29.99). It is supposed to play Blu-rays and at one time it was. But I didn't have a monitor to support the Blu-ray playback so I changed it to another that has HDMI capability. Now when I insert a Blu-ray disc in the driver (internal LG Blu-ray player/recorder) it just hangs there. Seems like the computer is trying to get something because the hard-drive is just going but the disc player is not doing anything (no light comes on).

I checked for conflicts but can't find any. Any ideas?
