Extended Error 0X80041024

tmartin

Question

I am working on a Dell Inspiron Laptop, with Windows 7, created a movie project in Windows Live Movie Maker. Saved the project and followed instructions to burn a DVD using Roxio. DVD burns to 99% then I receive "Extended Error" 0x80041024. I have been using DVD+R by Memorex.

I installed the Roxio patch for this error, rebooted and still not able to burn DVD successfully. Are these the right DVD's to use?

Saved Windows Live Movie Maker projects are of course not compatible with C2011. I must assume that you output (or exported) from WLMM to some video file.

You have given no details on how you are using the video from WLMM in C2010. What program from the suite are you using to burn the DVD? What settings are you using? How long in time is the video? In what format is the video? Are you burning to a DL DVD?

Memorex are considered by many a bottom of the barrel quality. Try at least Verbatims (preferably use some RWs for testing)
