Playback Has Quality Glitches

jayjay99

Question

My project is 110 mins. of avi.video, created via VideoWave & MyDVD in the normal way. Chapters, buttons etc all work 100% in preview and the whole thing looks good. After creating disc image iso file, i burn to disc via creator classic but have quality "glitches" - "Play all" misses some movies (there are 25 in all), one "freezes" for no reason, one or two have a jerky appearance and not all the buttons perform as they should. The project is 9.1GB but using "fit to disc" has minimal compression in order to fit on a Verbatim 8x DVD +RDL. When burning i close all other apps. + Internet. Obviously with RDL it gets expensive to keep trying alternatives but would using a slower speed help (rather than x8)I'm not a beginner with Roxio but this has got me beat!

Play the ISO with VLC (free player) and see if you have all those issues before burning it to a disc. Use a DL disc to burn to. You can downlaod VLC from cnet.com.

Fit to disc will give you the worst possible quality. If you go over 1 hour on a SL disc, the quality will be bad and who knows what happens with menus.
