vince.e.smith
Hi Gurus - I've got Build 201B23A of Easy VHS to DVD. I'm able to play my VHS tape and see the video on my TV. I'm using a 4 Head, Hi-Fi, VHS Player. However, when plug the video and sound cables into the Video Capture USB, the "My Video" (video preview window) simply flashes "No Video Signal". I'm using the Record, Edit and Save feature as opposed to the Record DVD option of the s/w. I've looked through all the posts here. I do have two entries in the sound, video and game controllers category in device manager. An the information matches exactly to the screen shots pinned in this forum (that includes dates, versions and file names & paths). I've got a Dell Precision M65, with 1 GB RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro FX 350M video card (I assume it supports DirectX 9.0) and I'm running Vista. Two questions or notes that might help someone help me --- 1) my Dell Precision M65 is 4 years old. It's got 4 USD slots. In the device drivers though it lists 5, and only one is Enhanced. However, that one is also a hub. so I'm assuming this M65 implements all 4 USB slot through a 2.0 USB hub. Would that make a difference? I've tried all 4 slots and have the same problem. 2) this may be a stupid question - do I actually need a DVD in the drive in order to see the video in the VHS to DVD preview window? I would think not if I'm using the "Record, Edit and Save" feature. All help is appreciated. Vince

Jim_Hardin
I would suggest you read through cdanteek’s pinned post at the top that covers installing on Vista. Check your Device Manager and compare it with his screen caps. No Match, No Work
