Audio Hum While Converting 8Mm

I just converted my first tape to DVD. Worked well, except I am getting an audio hum. Converting from 8mm sony camcorder to DVD. Any ideas on how to beat the hum?

 

Assuming the hum is not on the source tape (plays good on your TV) .....check your Audio connections from your camcorder to Roxio adapter.

Thank you for the reply. Just checked when hooked up to TV. Do have slight hum, not nearly as loud as when hooked up to computer, will try different and longer connectors.

Different YES, don't know what you mean by Longer connectors.

 

A good rule of thumb is the shorter the cable the better.

 

We are talking about composite cables:
